here’s an off the wall question for you. how do russian women and russians in general feel about interracial marrage? i am curriose becouse here it is becoming more widespread and more accepted. and i really don’t like seeing hot blonds with the gangsters from the hood and it would be a shame for it to happen over there. Dude it’s NOT about the nationality it’s about the level of Cultivation. I’ve seen a few black guys out here and as long as they were gentlemen just like any other man.. all was well. The boyzz in the hood are not going to find themselves typically coming out to the neck of these woods.
But an educated man who wants the best in the world.. someone like Larry Elders or Thomas Sowell would. If you don’t know who these guys are PLEASE look them up and dig what they are saying and their backgrounds..
The black guys that came out here that I met did just fine with the girls they met but of course they were probably the first black guys that many of these people had ever seen so it was a major circus as people would line up to have their pictures taken with them.
There is certainly racism and zenophobia here so be very careful with your attitude. If you don’t understand how to be humble and gracious I would start practicing now. Just keep in mind.. You may not be glad to see black guys with hot blonds where you are from.. But in the same token most of the guys here are sure as HELL not happy that you as an Foreigner would come here for THEIR BABES. And if you come in like the stereotypical loud mouthed American they would just love to get a crack at you. What goes around comes around..

thanks for all the info. here’s another 2. russian women, weddings, engagements. needless to say most american women, shall we say are not really able to qualify for a “white” wedding dress. how is this perceived in russia? are most of the women “pure” so to speak? and for engagements. here in the U.S. most engagements last about 6 months. whats the norm. over there? and is the solitare diamond the “usual” engagement gift as it is here? thanks again. Your average Russian girl in her mid 20′s and above is not a Virgin. However there is a significanly larger percentage of younger Russian girls that are virgins as opposed to the US or any other Western Country.
There are scores of “good girls” who are waiting till marriage in this part of the world. Most of them are “good girls” by default because it’s hard for them to find “good guys” and they are not going to give it up for some impoverished skin-head that gets drunk all the time.
Unwanted pregnancies are a major problem and unfortunately this country has one of the highest abortion rates in the world. The girls are under tremendous pressure to not be seen as whores or sluts and getting accidentally pregnant will not help that. If they get branded with that then it’s big time shame for them and their family.
Now saying that there seems to be an equally large number of young club women who are more lose with their sex and associations. The difference usually comes down to what type of family they came from and how strict it was.
The issue of virginity or sex is pretty complicated in Russia due to the background of the girl. So focus more on the individual as opposed to generalities.
Religion or spiritual beliefs are also very under-developed here due to a Communist history (another dreadful legacy that has far reaching effects on this society) so there is a different set of understandings as far as morality is concerned.
Again this “morality” along with “sexuality” are complicated subject that needs to be carefully laid out and I’m sure I’ll talk about in-depth down the road in another post.
Don’t worry about any engagement lag times. If the girl is going to marry you she’s going to marry you. The actual wedding date is a matter of practicality (usually based on family availability, money issues and the weather!) more then some set custom.
You can also relax about the diamond ring. A single diamond is more then fine since most married Russian girls have either the tiniest diamond you’ve ever seen on a cheap ring.. or more often then not.. no diamond at all on their wedding band. Just a ring of poor quality gold. Now I’m not encouraging you to be cheap here either but you should get the point.
If you plan on getting married don’t forget the gifts and memorabilia for her family. Very important..

GL you are the greatest. now, that was going to be my next Q. gifts for the family. is that like asking permision for her to marry you? as in asking the Dad for his blessing. also what types of gifts are “good” and what is “bad”? i know monitary gifts are a big insult. thanks, Dave
WOW, i was just reading the ” International Marriage Broker Regulation Act” Jan.-2006 updated July-2006. and all i can say is holy$%^&. ol’GW has done a number on immigration from europe. with all the rules and the “Discretion of the Agent” clauses its any wonder any of us will be able to get a Russian or any other bride from europe. and i really like the part about putting a “indefinate” hold on the application for examination purposes.
Big bouquet of flowers for the mom.. always get an odd number of them 1, 3, 7.. 7 is the most optimal.. Any color of roses EXCEPT for yellow which is used for funerals. Find out what hobbies if any Papa has like fishing which is very popular and get something related to that. The best all around gifts are large classy coffee table picture books of your home state or country or both.. Jewelry is fine for mama as well like a necklace as long as her daughter has something nicer of course. That should do it… but you can be creative.. if you are artist or craftsperson anything you make will be greatly appreciated… the more effort you put into it the better.

I get the feeling this law will be ruled unconstitutional at some point because if you date an American girl you sure as hell don’t need to submit your criminal or marriage records to her.
Also there are loop holes it seems in the law. A Russian girl can choose to join a online dating service like match.com and the man that she communicates with doesn’t have to submit this info. Overall like I said in an earlier post..
American women are getting wind of the better options available over here and will do anything to stop it.
